In 1967 I started Air Molokai.  At this time, ranch executives - especially Phil Spalding - loaned me almost $800,000 on a hand shake to build a new hangar on Lagoon Drive.  They, like me, wanted to ensure low airfares and reliability for the residents of Molokai.

His son Henry is a pilot and owner of the Molokai Air Shuttle.
