1947-04-01 Lake Freeman; Indiana.  Aircraft crashed on landing, when pilot George Needham landed on water with landing gear down.  Mr. Needham and wife were rescued by Charles Robertson and Robert Chaffin fishing from a rowboat nearby.  Mr. Needham suffered bruises, cuts and shock.  Mrs. Needham almost drowned, but was rescued by artificial breathing.  She also suffered a broken arm and cuts.
