1957-11-14 Letter from Grand Central Insurance Agencies Ltd. to Department of Transport, Air Services, Aviation Division:
...
Our company pilot, Mr. E. D. Burns, was forced down in Seymour Inlet, due to engine trouble, shortly before Christmas 1956. We negotiated with a logging firm in the area to care for the aircraft until we could conveniently tow it to Vancouver for repairs, after the winter storms. In the early spring of this year we made a trip to Seymour Inlet and with the help of men and boats in the area, were towing it from there to Allison Harbour where we had arranged with Union Steamships to have the aircraft brought to Vancouver. Unfortunately, during the process of towing, the aircraft his a submerged log, causing the wing float to be damaged and consequently the aircraft sunk and has not been recovered, nor do we expect to make recovery in the future.
...
Yours truly
Patrick D. Ryan
President.
1957-12-06 Deleted from Canadian Civil Aircraft Register.
